Learning journey continued to the roots of Calvados—and the birth of Dilvados.

Almost 10 years ago I spent unforgettable weeks and months in the orchards and distilleries of Normandy, learning the true art of Calvados—how apples become spirit through fire, time, and dedication. It wasn’t easy. The work was intense, physical, and demanding. From long days of apple selection to countless hours watching over fermentation and distillation, every step required total focus and respect for centuries of tradition.

But this was more than just learning a technique—it was about connecting with a philosophy: that greatness takes time, effort, and care.

That’s why I named my brand Dilvados.

It’s a tribute to Calvados, but also rooted in my homeland—Dilijan, Armenia. “Dilvados” is a fusion of the two worlds that shaped me: the timeless expertise of Normandy and the untapped spirit of Armenian terroir. It’s my way of honoring both traditions while building something original, authentic, and deeply personal.

Every bottle of Dilvados carries that story—of hard work, deep learning, and cultural connection.
